Rewindable Math Strategies

The year 3 and 4 students at Ohaeawai School have been using Explain Everything to share their math strategies for addition and subtraction.  They have shared their video clips on their class blog. For addition they have been using the strategy of tidy numbers.  For subtraction they have been using the strategy of splitting numbers into parts.  By sharing their learning in this way it makes it rewindable, for the learner and for whānau who are wanting to support their children at home.  Math strategies may have changed since parents were at school and this is a great way to develop their understanding of the way their children are learning.
